Site Net Worth - June 2021
By now you all know why I started The Saving Dude and what we are trying to accomplish. Our monthly net worth reports are how we track progress and growth over time.
June 2021 was another month. Some positive momentum on the financial front and negative momentum on the traffic front. Eventually we will put it all together.
This past month we were offered money to write an article! While I have considered myself a "professional" writer already, this is really a thing now. It's not a lot, but it is officially another revenue stream and opportunity for me to branch out into other endeavors related to blogging.
The nitty-gritty is below, so check it out.
Net Worth - $0.24
Better than last month, but still not where we want to be month over month.
Total Hours Spent: 12 hours
Trying to refocus our attention on writing more content and getting the word out there. Any help on the "getting the word out there" front that you can provide would be amazing!
Articles Written: 4 in June vs 3 in May
$0.24 - Google Adsense
$0.00 - Affiliate Income
$0.00 - Other -this will pop in July
Alexa Site Ranking: 1,979,933 - This is the first month in 2021 that we have trended backward. We will add this as a key focus in July
Here is a quick list of what we are worked on in June with updates:
Create a better cadence for social posting (and potentially add more to our stories) - consistency is key and we presently lack that, building out a cadence further in advance will help
Mix up our content types - we had a good June in this regard
Here is a quick list of what we plan to work on in July:
Create a better cadence for social posting (and potentially add more to our stories) - we have seen growing engagement with our social posts
Mix up our content types - not really enough content to say there was a "mix"
Get the site Alexa score down below 500k - had a setback in June
Have one month where I write over 15 articles - corrected course in June
Make more than $50/month from affiliate partners - July should be our first month above this figure
