My fave local joints

Investing in your local community provides a ton of benefits besides helping out the people who live around you. The impact you have is both local and global which is really cool to think about. And now, a shortlist of my favorite joints in Lincoln, NE. This includes clothing, food, and more.

Art & Soul has a special place in my heart because my wife and I took a cooking class there a few years back. It was an awesome experience and I still use the lessons learned when making meals for us today. In addition to the cooking classes, they sell a wide variety of kitchen gadgets and serve some amazing local fare.

I'm dropping Ruby Red Threads in here for a couple of reasons. First, they make high-quality, handmade hair accessories that my wife loves. Second, a friend of mine owns the business. Third, these items make great gifts this time of year.

A Novel Idea - I love books and bookstores. The staff is always friendly and courteous. This is a gem in Lincoln.

Bin 105 - Drinking wine is fun and Bin105 can help you find the right wine for your tastebuds. They also have wine tastings and will absolutely spend time educating you on all things wine.

Art of Skin Rx - If you are looking for a skin care professional with years of experience and who is nationally recognized, you can find it right here in Lincoln. Christine has been honing her craft for over 12 years and it shows.

The Press Box - My favorite burger joint in town! They have reasonable prices and their BURGERS! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, my three favorite meals, and their BURGERS!

Now go out and find your favorite local joint. Buy a burger, buy a gift, or treat yourself to something nice. No matter your reason remember, that shopping local has a global impact!
